
Heat-related mortality is rising globally. Wildfire suppression costs in the U.S. are estimated in the hundreds of billions annually. Thirteen of the twenty costliest wildfires in the U.S. have happened in the past 10 years. Renewables are the cheapest way to generate electricity, and when markets are left alone to figure out cost-effective and reliable power generation, they turn to renewables and batteries. It’s time for the fossils to see the (sun)light.
